Surviving Mesothelioma

I'm a firm believer in natural remedies and the body's ability to heal itself when given the proper nutrition. Why is it that natural healing methods using nutrients that our body needs are considered "alternative", while pharmecutical medications containing chemicals that are often dangerous are considered "conventional treatments"? I'm thankful for medications as a last resort or in an emergency situation, but I believe in using nutrition to help your body heal itself before running to the pharmacy. The diagnosis of cancer often leaves people with a feeling of hopelessness, and mesothelioma is considered one of the more aggressive forms of cancer.

There is hope, and I found a book that will encourage you and show you how others are surviving, and where to find doctors who can help you. Paul Kraus was diagnosed with mesothelioma cancer in 1997, and is the author of the best selling mesothelioma book called "Surviving Mesothelioma". In his book, he offers practical advice on how he survived so that others will be encouraged to beat the odds.

Mesothelioma prognosis varies according to many different factors. Be sure to find a doctor who is willing discuss all of your available options. This is your life, and you need to make sure that you have all of the available information possible. Don't be afraid to get as many opinions as necessary until you feel comfortable with a particular course of treatment.

Mesothelioma asbestos dangers are well-documented. There are three different types of asbestos with "blue" being considered the most dangerous. Regardless of the cause of mesothelioma, there are treatment options available. Learn how others are surviving, and don't settle for the first treatment options that are given to you without considering all of your options. You need to be your own advocate, and do what's best for you once you have all the facts.
