Satellite TV is My Necessary Luxury

Wednesday, October 20, 2010

I've recently been trying to find ways to cut back on my monthly expenses, and for a moment, I debated whether or not I really need Direct TV. I decided that since we don't pay very much each month for our satellite TV, I don't want to lose something that I really enjoy just to save a few bucks.

I had considered subscribing to one of those movie services that let you rent a certain number of movies every month and doing without satellite service, but then I realized that it wouldn't be as fun as flipping through the channels at night the way I do with my LocalTV-Satellite. That's my relaxation time at night when the kids have gone to bed, and my husband is playing on his computer. It's funny how I can have a shelf full of movies, and I don't watch them very often, but when they happen to be on TV, I'm excited that they're on! We also like to check the news channels to see what's going on, and you can't do that when all you have are movies.

I try not to waste a lot of money on things I don't need (the key word being try), but now I realize that having something that helps me unwind after a long day or something that gives me the opportunity to enjoy a movie or show with my kids is definitely not a waste of money. Especially when you can go to localtv-satellite.com and get a great deal. Some people might think that watching TV is time that could be better spent doing something constructive, but as far as I'm concerned, spending time with family and friends while watching a good program is an excellent way to spend some time!

It Pays to Be a Loyal Customer!

People will usually take the time to file a complaint, but how often do we go out of our way to pay a compliment? Well, I'm enjoying one of the promotional deals from Direct tv, so I want to take the time to express my appreciation. We've had Direct TV for over 9 years, and have received excellent customer service and picture quality. They've always offered us the best deal to meet or beat their competitors prices. There are so many channels to choose from with DIRECTV by DirectSatTV, that you can find something for everyone to enjoy. Now, not only can you choose what you want to watch, many channels are available in High Definition. Direct TV offers the most channels in High Definition. Find out how new customers can get free HD for life!

There are always great direct satellite tv offers, and there are packages to suit everyone's needs. They offer 6 packages including the Family package with 45+ channels, the Premier package with 265+ channels, and packages in between that allow you to find exactly what your looking for without having to pay for channels that you don't need. If you're looking for a company you can depend on to answer your questions and offer you the best deal, you won't be disappointed with Direct TV. They value their customers, and continue to offer us promotional discounts and offers for being a loyal customer.

By now, you've probably already learned that you have to switch to digital transition, but if you want to learn more about how dtv transition will benefit you, there are plenty of websites dedicated to providing information on the transition. All full-power television stations have stopped broadcasting in analog, so if you watch TV at all, you've already had to switch, but it's nice to know what this change means to us. If you have satellite television, you should already be receiving digital signals. If not, you’ll need a box that includes a digital broadcast tuner. The show must go on!

What Are We Going To Watch Tonight

Tuesday, December 29, 2009

We've had Direct TV for almost 10 years now, and after doing a little comparison shopping, I realize we're still getting the best deal. I always like to keep an eye on the latest advertised specials, and DirectTV remains true to their word by offering the best prices. I admit I've checked out the competition to see what they have to offer, but they don't compare to the everyday low prices of Direct TV. Other companies offer promotional discounts that sound like a great deal, but when the initial period is over, you may be in for a shock when the bill arrives. Our plan also includes additional channels that other companies don't provide, and we're still paying less money.

Directv has over 130 HD channels that allow you to feel like your part of the action. The NFL Sunday Ticket is perfect for the sports fan in your family, and there are plenty of children's channels to choose from so the kids have something to watch while the adults enjoy the game. Nickelodeon has been a life saver for me on many occasions when I needed to get some work done. There are several Nickelodeon channels available, so it's usually a pretty safe bet that my kids' favorite shows will be on! There are six packages to choose from, so there's something for everyone. There's no need to pay for hundreds of channels when your interested in the Family Package, but for the viewer who wants the ultimate selection, their Premier Package offers over 265 channels. With all those channels, you should never have to worry about finding something good on television!
