It's that time of year again. School is almost out, and the summer reading program will soon begin. If you're searching for a story with traditional values, and one that will keep your child's attention, then I recommend "The Secret Garden" by Frances Hodgson Burnett.
The one minor issue with this book, is that it has many Old English phrases that may be difficult for some children to read without assistance. However, they will still be able to understand the meaning of the story. This book is 298 pages, and is recommended for children 9-12 yrs of age.
